      <image:caption>Daniel is a MTT300 (Mindfulness Teaching Training, 300 hours) certified facilitator, trained at the Engaged Mindfulness Institute. EMI (formerly Peacemaker Institute) was founded in 2001 by Fleet Maull and Vita Pires. The Institute delivers training developed from a rich tradition of spiritually grounded, contemplative, and mindfulness-based peace and social change work, as well as the latest developments in neuroscience-based leadership training. The Institute specializes in training those who support individuals in underserved communities. Daniel is a practitioner of Zen Buddhism in the Jukai process studying with Reverend Hokyo Enso Hutchcraft and the Jokoji Zen Center, Los Gatos, CA. His secular facilitation practice is primarily focused on the criminal justice system and men in recovery.</image:caption>

Participants will learn the fundamentals of meditation posture, practices, and basic mindfulness techniques to reduce and transform everyday stress, dissatisfaction, and discomfort. There are no religious affiliations or expectations. Everyone is welcome - we are dedicated to making meditation as accessible as possible.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Tobias Keene, D.D.S. Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Tobias Keene brings a bit of unabashed Southern hospitality to all his patients. He moved to Washington, D.C. over thirty years ago as a freshman at Ivy College. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries. When not striving to keep his patients happy and healthy, he’s enjoys hiking with his family in Rock Creek Park.</image:caption>
